Sundays.

Come along this Sunday!

Sundays are always a special time at Father’s House. It’s a time where we can come together, to worship and encounter Jesus, listen to some clear, blblical teaching and ‘do life’ with one another. We love Sundays!

What you should expect

Our times of worship will generally start around 10:20am as a bit of a ‘warm up’ before the meeting begins. People will start to arrive around this time, greet each other and maybe have a bit of a chat in our foyer / coffee bar area before the meeting begins. The meeting itself will start at 10:30am, with a brief time of notices and testimonies of good news, before going into a larger time of worship. This will last for somewhere between 30-40 mins. During this time, occasionally a person may come to the front and offer a word of knowledge or prophetic word. Around 11:15 - 11:30 we will go into our weekly message, which aims to end around 12:15.

After that, we like to hang around and just spend time together socially. It’s a great time to have a coffee and a chat, and get to know one another better. We want you to know that you are loved and welcome at Father’s House, regardless of your background, personal beliefs or previous church experience. You will always find a warm welcome at Father’s House Shaftesbury.

What about my kids?

Don’t worry, we have you covered!

On a Sunday morning we have Kingdom Kids for Primary School aged children. This runs from approximately 11.15 to the end of the service, usually around 12.15. We will let you know when the kids are going into their own time, via a scrolling notice on our screens. At the same time there is also an opportunity for the older children to meet together - this is organised by our youth leader, Steve Scott.

These activities run on most Sundays - details of Family Services and breaks during holidays will always be posted under latest news here

Where are we?

We meet at Father’s House Shaftesbury, SP7 8PH. Our official address is ‘Christy’s Lane’, but in order to find us, you should drive all the way through the Longmead Industrial Estate. Continue through the estate until you can’t go any further, and turn right at the T-Junction. Drive forward until you see a metal-gated entrance in front of you. There will be signs to guide you. We have bags of parking spaces, so you shouldn’t have any trouble finding somewhere to park. We’re the big blue building!

LIVESTREAMING

We have come to realise how helpful livestreaming our Sunday morning meetings can be for those who cannot manage to get to Father’s House.

We are aware that some people may not be comfortable to be on camera. Please be assured that the cameras will be pointed towards the front, so will be on the worship team and those who speak or share during the meeting. There is no plan to film the congregation, so please do not feel inhibited as you worship God and enjoy His presence.

We also live-stream the meeting on to a TV screen in the Dining room. This is for the benefit of any parents with babies and toddlers who may want to use this space and the toys provided. Although there is no pressure on parents to do this!

What if this is your first time?

First times can be tricky! You walk into a strange building, you’re welcomed by strange people, and you’re about to experience a Sunday morning that might be different to what you’re used to. This might even be your first time in a church! Don’t worry, we understand. Many of us have experienced that for the first time as well.

If you would prefer to connect with us before you visit, then why not head over to our ‘Get in touch’ page, and either drop us an email, or maybe even give us a call. We want to make your first time at Father’s House an enjoyable one.
